If this section remains blank, coverage defaults to 90 days from the date of installation.

The actual garage door and its parts come with their own coverage directly from the manufacturer. 

Garage Door Repair Warranty Coverage

For complete overhaul repairs to existing garage doors, our garage door repair warranty covers all new and rebuilt parts we install, including both materials and workmanship. This policy applies to the garage door opener warranty, which covers repairs on new openers we install. 

If any of your garage door parts have a defect while they’re still under the manufacturer’s warranty, we’ll take care of the labor to fix or replace them at no extra charge. Just check the “Warranty Options” section on your invoice for your specific coverage. Keep in mind that a small service charge might apply for certain warranty work.

How Long Does the Garage Door Warranty Period Last?

Your warranty officially begins the moment we finish your installation or repair. For new garage door installations and complete overhaul repairs, the labor warranty continues for the time frame indicated in the “Warranty Options” section on your invoice. For repairs to existing doors, your warranty protection stays active as long as you own that specific garage door.

This warranty cannot be transferred to a new owner. If you sell your home or no longer own the garage door that received our services, warranty coverage terminates automatically.

What Falls Outside Coverage

To keep your warranty valid, only our authorized Precision Garage Door Service technicians should work on the covered parts. If anyone else works on parts covered under this warranty, those specific parts and the labor associated with them will no longer be covered. Here are a few other things our warranty doesn’t cover:

• Incidental or consequential damages: Coverage does not extend to property damage or injuries resulting from a garage door malfunction. Some states prohibit excluding incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply in your area.
• Cable displacement issues: Displaced, misaligned or disconnected door cables fall outside warranty coverage.
• Damage from external factors: Problems caused by misuse, abuse, civil disturbance or Acts of God receive no coverage under this warranty.
• Commercial applications: This warranty applies exclusively to residential installations and repairs.

State Laws and Your Legal Rights

In addition to the rights provided by this warranty, you may have other rights under state consumer protection laws. You must present your invoice as your warranty receipt to obtain warranty service.
